Trucker Convoy Opposing COVID Ordinances To Arrive For LA Rally

A group of truck drivers who oppose coronavirus vaccination ordinances and restrictions in California will join other demonstrators in DTLA for a rally against the mandates. Despite new subvariants of coronavirus, California has lifted several health mandates thanks to a drop in the new infection count and increasing vaccination rates. However, scientists still warn that a premature end to the virus-related health emergency will make the United States of America vulnerable.

In February 2022, around 100 truck drivers disembarked from San Bernardino County’s Mojave Desert to many places around the nation, including Washington DC. The truckers will join other demonstrators in Downtown Los Angeles to oppose what organizers describe as an aggressive group of bills related to COVID-19 proposed recently in the California State Legislature.

AB 1993 is among the bills, and it would have necessitated vaccination against coronavirus disease for independent contractors and workers in private and public sectors as an employment condition. However, Democratic legislators untimely shelved that bill, and they cited the relaxation of ordinances and better pandemic conditions.

Numerous speakers and music will be part of the rally. The speakers will include medical professionals who are against vaccination mandates, masking, and the coronavirus-related emergency declaration of the federal administration.

The so-called People’s Convoy describes itself as a group of individuals who are not partisan but are together in their views against vaccination mandates. The so-called Freedom Convoy from Canada is the inspiration for the aforesaid group of truck drivers from San Bernardino County.

One of the rally organizers, Mike Landis, stated that vaccination is an individual choice. As for Landis, the point of vaccination is all about freedom. By freedom, Landis referred to one’s freedom to pick what they consider best for their life within both the guidelines and morals of the US Constitution.

People’s Convoy organizers have not only made false claims about coronavirus vaccines more than once but also promoted the unsubstantiated treatment of coronavirus with ivermectin. For the uninitiated, ivermectin is a form of drug for parasitic infections. At an Adelanto rally, supporters waved signs against President Joe Biden and banners that supported erstwhile President Donald Trump.

Many truckers featured stickers that demanded the federal government release those accused in the United States Capitol Attack. At the same time, many attendees in the rally wore clothes with Nazi and alt-right symbols. Meanwhile, the website of the People’s Convoy has published an instruction that asks supporters to wave state flags and American flags.

Almost one million individuals across the US have died because of COVID-19 complications since the beginning of the epidemic.
