Meet Strategist, Attorney And Political Commentator Kelly Hyman

While media commentary is not for anyone, Kelly Hyman differs from the common public. Hyman can make quick decisions as well as is determined and interested in politics. Her readiness to deliberately place herself in a tricky situation about US politics has increased her popularity among media outlets as a political expert. Many media outlets use her for an inclusive, positive and well-informed message.

The influence of Hyman on political and legal matters facilitated her in bringing her insights and views to debate on national politics. However, it is the one-of-a-kind lessons she learned from her background that kept her active as a media person.

Miami Beach is Hyman’s birthplace, but she relocated with her mother to California and then started a career in acting. Her mother raised her without anyone’s help when working in the form of a tennis professional. Hollywood actor Charlton Heston was among her mother Patricia Bindley’s clients, and she knew him as Chuck.

The actor realized that Hyman had potential and aided her in getting an acting agent. Soon, Hyman had an actor’s headshot and a recommendation from Heston to use in her acting agency profile. This made it easier for Hyman to work as an actor in TV shows, commercials, and off-Broadway productions. Hyman’s roles include John Astin’s Getting There TV pilot, Charles Matthau’s 1988 comedy film Doin’ Time on Planet Earth, and 1986’s TV show The Young and the Restless.

She attended the University of California, Los Angeles, and got a bachelor’s degree in communication over twenty years ago. In 2000, she got a master’s degree in communication from Barry University. In 2003, Levin College of Law gave her a law degree known as Juris Doctor.

Hyman loved US politics in her childhood, and she started exploring it more deeply when in college. She was committed to the US Democratic Party, which encouraged her to work as a White House intern during the Presidency of Bill Clinton. It did not end her stint in politics. Later, she volunteered with the electoral campaigns of former presidents such as Clinton, Obama and Biden. She worked as an electoral poll watcher for protecting voter rights in the 2016 US Presidential Election.

Before launching her own law firm, Hyman worked for the Coral Gables-based firm Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton, and West Palm Beach’s Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley. She became the Federal Bar Association Palm Beach Chapter’s President. Now, she represents the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Board of Governors while serving on WTLC (Women Trial Lawyers Caucus).

With her career in law underway, Hyman started building a name for her as a political and legal analyst as well as a Democratic political strategist. She was never shy of saying what she thought about on national TV. Soon, however, Hyman took a dare to explore much more than the echo chamber in politics and give her viewpoints to new viewers.

Hyman also wrote a book about politics entitled Build Back Better: The First 100 Days of the Biden Administration, and Beyond’. In the book, she talks about a Real Time episode on HBO where political commentator William Maher demanded that liberals discuss ideologies, unlike their ideologies, on conservative platforms. Since then, Hyman clarified that she would accept the opportunity to work on a media outlet such as OAN, Newsmax, or Fox that was keen on having a Democratic Party supporter on air.

It was a difficult move for Hyman, but she managed it with the acting experience and other experiences that affected her life. Hyman has not only been featured on many networks such as ABC, CBS, BBC, and NBC but has also appeared on CourtTV, Fox News, Law & Crime, Fox & Friends First, and OANN. Her work in political commentary lets her help with shaping people’s views about voters’ rights, equality and other issues for which she has a passion.
